A Treble with 'Single Holes'.

Single Hole Treble

A Herwiga Treble (Alto) with single holes.

This pearwood treble has single holes but NOT German fingering. (The two often go together.)

This 'Herwiga Chor' model is much better than the dark varnished ones I am familiar with.
I do not know its age but, if the 'Gothic' branding and restrained styling is anything to go by,
I think it may date from the 1930's.
It plays as a 'baroque' model despite it's 'renaissance' appearance.

Update, October 2019. It seems that I was correct.

This is one of the recorder designs commisioned by Peter Harlan.

catalogue illustration from the 1930s that includes it.
